Superintendents from Oklahoma’s second largest city are asking legislators to develop an education budget and present it to Gov. Mary Fallin. The administrators say they need the budget so they can make decisions for next year, and they need it before the end of the legislative session.
Tulsa County Area School Administrators (TCASA) said the “Fund Education First” law stipulates lawmakers present legislation to the governor to fund education each year by April 1
The “Fund Education First” law was passed in 2003, but had only been met once — in 2004 — prior to 2011.
